About this role

As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for handling products within the fulfilment centre prior to delivery to customers. Every package goes through different stages like receiving, sorting, storage, picking, packing and shipping. You ensure that customer orders are properly processed and delivered on time.
“It’s not a desk job. It’s an active role.” Most of their shift is spent on their feet, walking from one workstation to another, handling packages. Depending on the work area, you may also safely lift boxes and move products using company approved equipment.

You will be trained after joining so there is no need for previous warehouse experience to get started.

Daily Duties

Your work may include:

• Receive incoming products and check shipments.
• Sort items based on warehouse locations.
• Store products in the right shelves or storage areas.
• Pick customer orders using hand-held scanners.
• Items must be packed for shipping.
• Inspect items for damage before shipping.
• Properly labeled delivery packages.
• Conduct stock inventory at times.
• Keep your work area clean and orderly.
• Follow all safety procedures in the workplace.
• Team up with colleagues to meet daily operational goals.

Depending on which department you are assigned to, the exact duties will vary.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Minimum education needed for the location.

This is a warehouse position so candidate should be comfortable with physical work.

The position will involve:

Standing and walking for long stretches.
Lifting and Moving Packages up to approximately 50 pounds.
Reach, bend and carry product throughout the shift.
Rotate to different parts of the warehouse as the operational needs dictate.

All activities shall be performed in accordance with all safety guidelines.

Schedule of Work

Amazon provides both full-time and part-time schedules depending on business needs.
